Adding and Subtracting Rational Expressions

We added and subtracted rational expressions today. We started with adding expressions with common denominators, and then moved to subtracting expressions with common denominators. Once students felt comfortable with these types of problems, we moved on to adding and subtracting rational expressions with different denominators. Students are reminded that they should look to factor out common factors as often as possible, and to include values that will make the resulting denominator zero.
